Niet het slangenharige wezen uit de Griekse mythologie staat centraal, maar de vrouw die slachtoffer werd van verkrachting door Poseidon. Frederic Delmotte legt uit welk verhaal dit stuk vertelt en welke nieuwe wending het geeft aan een mythe die eeuwenlang vooral over victim blaming ging.
